Ho Hum

Life is pretty ho hum at the moment I guess, nothing to be really excited about. I just want the days to go quickly so I can be in Adelaide already!!
I have Thursday and Friday off work, and I'm going to be moving the ponies then. The new people moved into Jan's house, and they were told that they could have all the storage space. Bugger if I'm going to be paying $25 a week for some grass and nothing else. So Bounce gets to go live with princess! Which will be $20 a week, which is OK, we'll have storage there at least!
I was on Google the other day, looking at pictures of Dalmatians, and I found this:Cute huh? That's what I thought, and then I kept looking. I saw it again though, and realised that it looks *really* familiar, and that's when I realised that I actually have a blanket with this photo printed on it. I didn't realize that the blanket was printed from a photo though, because it looks like a drawing.

I also found this, which isn't a dalmatian, but soooo cute!
There was also a picture of a daladore, which is a lab cross dali, and one of the ugliest dogs I have ever seen, so I'm not going to repeat that image.

One of those damn hippies...

So the latest news is that I'm testing the waters in vegetarianism (that's a difficult word to type!)
From what I've read, it's easiest to take it slow, cutting out one type of meat at a time. They also say that pork or chicken should be the first, because they're subject to the most cruelty. I rarely eat pork anyway, I pretty much gave that up last year, so I cut out chicken, which is my biggest meat source.

I've also been trying a few different veggie recipes, like the other day I made a veggie lasagna, and oh my god it was the best lasagna I've ever had, it's so much better without meat! Tori would love it too, because it has lots of orange veggies in it :-)
I actually feel a lot better when I haven't eaten meat, I haven't felt bloated for a long time, and I haven't had any cramps or anything. So yeah, going well so far.

The only thing is, when you tell people that you're trying it out, they begin to ridicule you straight away. "Oh you're not turning into a hippie are you" "You shouldn't be such a bleeding heart" "Why would you want to do that it's stupid"
Shaun hated the idea at first, but as soon as he found out I wouldn't be forcing it on him (aka: I would still cook meat for him, lol) he got over it, he also really likes all the veggie recipes that I've tried so far, even the vegetarian mince spaghetti which I didn't like. It tasted okay, but before you cook it, it looks and smells like canned cat food, so I'm not using that again.

Also, I found this picture, and I think it's hilarious.

MONA

Shaun's mum and Kevin came down for the weekend, and we all went to MONA, which was AWESOME!! I even got to see a Brett Whiteley - Van Gogh with Bandaged Ear.

Some of the 'art' was a little questionable... And I wouldn't really take kids there, but it was really enjoyable walking around, the museum is a work of art in itself, and the way the artworks were displayed was so amazing.

There was one display that we had to wait over half an hour to see, because they only let two people in at a time. It was an amazing experience though. It was an unopened sarcophagus, and next to it is a life sized screen showing the pictures from a cat-scan, so you can see the mummy inside. They way they've designed it, is a room with white stepping stones and black water, and you have to be careful, I didn't realize at first that it was water and nearly walked into it!

They also have Cloaca Proffessiona, which is basically a poo machine. I've seen this on a tv show before, and wasn't expecting to see it in person, I thought it was safely tucked away in Belgium! Didn't really enjoy the smell, but I found it amusing how people were exclaiming in excitement, "It's going to do a poo at three o'clock!"

The dusting off...

So, it's been what? Two years? I'm still around, haven't died, I promise!
I've been sick lately, and spending more time than usuall on the couch with my computer, but I've run out of things to do!! Last resort... post to blog. Yep. Don't actually have anything to say, buy I'm going to send it travelling out there anyway!
