Shaun's mum and Kevin came down for the weekend, and we all went to MONA, which was AWESOME!! I even got to see a Brett Whiteley - Van Gogh with Bandaged Ear.
Some of the 'art' was a little questionable... And I wouldn't really take kids there, but it was really enjoyable walking around, the museum is a work of art in itself, and the way the artworks were displayed was so amazing.
There was one display that we had to wait over half an hour to see, because they only let two people in at a time. It was an amazing experience though. It was an unopened sarcophagus, and next to it is a life sized screen showing the pictures from a cat-scan, so you can see the mummy inside. They way they've designed it, is a room with white stepping stones and black water, and you have to be careful, I didn't realize at first that it was water and nearly walked into it!
They also have Cloaca Proffessiona, which is basically a poo machine. I've seen this on a tv show before, and wasn't expecting to see it in person, I thought it was safely tucked away in Belgium! Didn't really enjoy the smell, but I found it amusing how people were exclaiming in excitement, "It's going to do a poo at three o'clock!"

ReplyDeleteDamn it I forgot to put in the word verification thingy. Ok so the original post was supposed to say. That poo machine sounds right up your alley. Where is MONA? I am so bored. Why is Twistie lame. I thought: "This summer it is me who has summer issues, Twistie is fine" But NO! she just had to wait for me to get better so she could start her summer issues and prevent me from riding.

It's at Moorilla, which is in Clairmont. Well, if she was having issues at the same time that you were, they might have healed up by now, leaving you at least part of the summer to be able to ride. Can't have that!! :P
